Babylon 5. Season 5 was slightly lower quality but still good.

TNG finished strong but it definitely didn't start strong. Arguably DS9 didn't either (although its first season was way better than TNG's).

Did you read the Legend of the Seeker books (Sword of Truth)? If yes, how did you think the show compared? I was interested in the show but quickly grew to hate the series - I made it three books in before the sexism and writing got to me. But I've been looking for a solid fantasy show to watch.

DA but the show is totally different from the series, the series is god-awful in every way but the show is mostly Sam Raimi just doing his own shit loosely based on the books

I have a certain fondness for the first 4 books. But the tv show is very different and so much better.
