TBH this makes me wonder if we obsess too much about looks? Maybe that's why I have a difficult time interacting with these live action Disney princess adaptations. =[

Like, do we even really need a Snow White adaptation? Does it need to also have a diverse casting of some kind, especially for the leading lady?

Parts of me want to talk about it, but I wonder if participating in discussions on a woman's looks associating with her job, how much should the original fairy tale stay part of the new interpretation which includes talking about what "snow white" means, and also diversifying media feeds more into a looks-focused society or if my lack of participation is leading these discussions into places that make me uncomfortable?

Sorry for the rant. I always feel really at odds with wanting to discuss the evolution of popular media and also not wanting to participate in mindless agreement with the systemic issues that generally are brushed aside.
