Why don't they just make new stories FFS. There's a whole world of stories out there.

This is the worst thing about the live action remakes. They could be making new movies, even generic live action movies!, using new fairy tales or folk stories or original ideas. But they won't.

Disney is one of the few brands with the cultural cache to make new hits but with every remake they are spending that goodwill. They're making money, but unless they're going to make remakes of their remakes they'll be out soon.
