For me it worked-- and going BACK, it gave me a new reading to all of Beelzebub's bits. Seeing them tell Crowley a position as Duke of Hell might open up if he brought Gabriel to them. The fly buzzing around 'Jim' all the time that I had assumed would have something to do with Beelzebub but had thought was *ominous* at first... Like, I think I would not have *enjoyed* it as much if we'd had those scenes throughout, because I wanted to be along on the mystery.
