Audience appreciation scores for TLJ were very low. It’s great that you enjoyed it and you’re definitely not alone! But objectively, it was a bad movie with subplots that didn’t go anywhere and detracted from the story and had almost equal amount of screen time as main plotlines. Critical response combined with low audience scores likely had more to do with changed plans and quickly hobbling together TROS than fandom.
