queenslayerbee: Isabelle Adjany as Lucy Harker in 1979's "Nosferatu the Vampire". She's surrounded by darkness, looking over her shoulder while she wears a white nightgown and a cross as a necklace. A hand with long nails like a claw is reaching for her neck from the darkness behind her. (Default)

I do like Terminator 2 but TSCC *is* my favourite Terminator story, as well. I think it's a fantastic, fascinating show and I rage about the cancellation (ON THAT CLIFFHANGER!!) to this day lol.

It's the one (1) canon where I would welcome a revival/s3 if it were to be made now. Because seriously. What. a. cliffhanger.

(I tell myself they would surely fuck it up if they made it but it's hard not to think about what could have been ;_;)

I never watched this because I wanted to see how other fans liked it and then it was cancelled on a cliffhanger so it got moved from my “most likely” to “never” watchlist.

I’m curious if you saw T2 when it came out in theaters? It’s a good movie, really solid and a rare example of a sequel outshining its predecessor. But I can totally believe that a lot of that sentiment is subconsciously influenced by a kind of nostalgia. Not just nostalgia for the movie itself but for the whole buzz around it. It was such a huge leap ahead in every way, particularly the special effects. Notably the liquid CGI but also they used real special effects and really advanced techniques there, too. T2 changed everything about how movies are made and I can imagine that anyone who lived through that and felt the excitement at the time would carry some bit of it forever even if they didn’t know it.

I didn't watch this show bit two shows I liked (*This Is Wonderland* and *Intelligence*) were cancelled on cliffhangers more than twenty years ago and I am still pissed off when I think about it. Soni am filled with sympathy, OP.

It was such a great show, and I am still mad about that cliffhanger. Incredibly stressful to watch, but so so good.

I miss this show.

I also remember the vague rumor that Thomas Dekker's character in HEROES was supposed to be gay but then the actor got offered T-SCC and his agent (or someone) put a stop to it. I hope that wasn't the case.

TSCC is not just my favorite part of the Terminator franchise, but one of my favorite series, period. And yeah, I'm probably never going to entirely get over its cancellation (and that cliffhanger!!).

I do think T2 is extremely good and incredibly iconic, and I love that version of Sarah Connor. Seeing a female character who looks like that on the screen is still a pretty novel and thrilling experience to this day. But I also love TSCC's Sarah, and I think the show did a very good job with her character. Yes it was cool that you could clock T2's Sarah as a total badass at twenty paces, but it just wouldn't have been reasonable (or ethical frankly) to ask an actress to attempt to achieve the physical look that Sarah had in T2 and then maintain it for any length of time. And ultimately what the character does is much more important, and TSCC did a great job of showing Sarah's character (her strength, her mettle, her fear, her determination, her sharp-mindedness, her decisiveness in a crisis, her compassion) via her actions.

Basically I love both Sarah's equally. I love a bunch of things about them that they share in common, as well as a few things that are specific to each version.

Don't even get me started on John (*clutches chest* John), and Cameron, and Derek, and Jesse and freaking Catherine Weaver and her daughter, oh my god, just all the characters and the relationships between them, basically. They're all. so. good.

Fanvid!

Man, I feel like the last person standing who sees Lena Headey and goes "Sarah Connor!" instead of "Cersei Lannister!"
