TSCC is not just my favorite part of the Terminator franchise, but one of my favorite series, period. And yeah, I'm probably never going to entirely get over its cancellation (and that cliffhanger!!).

I do think T2 is extremely good and incredibly iconic, and I love that version of Sarah Connor. Seeing a female character who looks like that on the screen is still a pretty novel and thrilling experience to this day. But I also love TSCC's Sarah, and I think the show did a very good job with her character. Yes it was cool that you could clock T2's Sarah as a total badass at twenty paces, but it just wouldn't have been reasonable (or ethical frankly) to ask an actress to attempt to achieve the physical look that Sarah had in T2 and then maintain it for any length of time. And ultimately what the character does is much more important, and TSCC did a great job of showing Sarah's character (her strength, her mettle, her fear, her determination, her sharp-mindedness, her decisiveness in a crisis, her compassion) via her actions.

Basically I love both Sarah's equally. I love a bunch of things about them that they share in common, as well as a few things that are specific to each version.

Don't even get me started on John (*clutches chest* John), and Cameron, and Derek, and Jesse and freaking Catherine Weaver and her daughter, oh my god, just all the characters and the relationships between them, basically. They're all. so. good.

Fanvid!
