It's really bad, btw. Everything is so dramatic and everyone is needlessly antagonistic toward one another. This kid's mother is like, "HOW DARE YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR DEAD FATHER" and this dude sent the kid his father's journal, and when the kid shows up he's like, "HOW DARE YOU THINK YOU CAN TALK TO ME ABOUT YOUR FATHER AFTER I MAILED YOU SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR FATHER."

This writer went to the "if you have two characters treat each other nicely and behave like actual humans at any point, the audience will be bored" school of screenwriting.
