Wow, I had no idea pheasants could be so colorful! I thought they were all brown/beige/speckled, which makes sense if their feathers are meant to camouflage them from predators.

I once saw a picture comparing Trump to a golden pheasant (hair-wise) and now I can't unseen it anymore and it has completely spoiled golden pheasants for me.

Somewhere I have an actual VHS tape with a recorded half-hour programme on the Monal pheasant on it. It's the last VHS tape I have left. They're so beautiful. High five, OP. (and a lot of foot-stomping and shivering feathers.)
