Do you have "best stuff first" turned off? You can't turn off recommendations these days but the more tumblrs you follow the less of this you will see. You could also block a term in that post so you don't see it anymore. But in general, yes, the algorithm has got pushier.

Ugh, I didn't even know that was a thing. I just went into my settings and turned it off. Thank you!

(And the annoying part is, I don't know who determines what stuff is the best, but they were way off, IMO.)
