I thought the angle of using an old fanfic trope was hilarious.

I'm bothered by the way they were supposed to have this close sibling bond but when we see their childhood it doesn't really set that up. Michael was older when she was adopted and they didn't seem to have much to do with each other and didn't become close as kids. If you're gonna make them secret adoptive siblings follow through with it.

D-did you not watch season 2 at all...?

They were close, then Michael pushed him away because people literally tried to kill her and she didn't want him to get caught in crossfire if there was a second attempt.

That's... that's a hella intense bond. And a shared trauma. Which is dealt with extensively in season 2.

Look, honest advice from someone who's been around for a while. It is okay to dislike something without calling it bad. It's okay to say, 'I didn't engage with this,' and move on.

But pretending that an entire character arc didn't happen just because you didn't like it? Just gives the impression that you weren't paying attention in the first place. And if you didn't pay attention, why should anyone care about your opinion?

I'm sorry, I don't know how to put that more gently.
