I guess the question I would ask is, do you foresee ever commenting on or reblogging the same post as any of them? If you do, then be aware that blocking someone makes it so that they can't participate in any comment chain that you're in. That's the only real downside.

If you don't think that's ever gonna happen, though, then don't worry about it. Like you said, you're curating your experience, and in this case not blocking them makes it hard to find what you're looking for, which sort of defeats the purpose of tags.
