Because that Jack/Sawyer/Kate triangle has gone on for that long, I actually stumbled into shipping Sawyer/Juliet. They have a shot at true happiness, so I hope that she's not dead. Actually, I'm fairly certain she's not. *crosses fingers*

ARGH. You know, I go both ways on this. On one hand, I love and adore Juliet so much. For a show that has such a crappy history with female characters, they've actually managed to create my fave on TV ever. How's that for irony? She's so strong and well rounded and easy to relate to. And yeah. Suliet was awesome &hearts But thing is, I loved Juliet long before she ever got together with Sawyer, and I can't help but feel that the pairing took a lot away from her character. They basically erased all her storylines (getting back to her sister, solving the pregnancy problem, getting revenge on Ben) and then she just... DIES. Horribly D: I have to admit, that ticked me off.

So yes, I do very very much want her back alive (and kicking ass), and tbh I would take a reunion with Rachel & Julian over one with Sawyer. I always thought that Juliet's happy ending lay with her family whilst Kate's lies with Jack and Sawyer (as much as she does not deserve either one of them, that has been the original storyline from Day One. I fault the writers for dragging the triangle out this long). Of course if they do manage to resolve her storylines AND give her an ending with Sawyer then I'll be a VERY happy bunny :D But since EM is the lead of a new show, I don't know how much time she'll be able to devote to LOST :( we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed :////

My feelings exactly. I like Suliet because it made Juliet happy, but at the same time I missed her old self :C

I really just don't...get how her being with James took away anything from her character. I understand about the getting back to her sister thing being a let down because lol I'm actually really pissed about that too. But if it turns out that what she did (setting off the bomb) caused the pregnancy problem (because of the radiation or w/e), well there's our answer to that. And I never saw Juliet as vengeful either, though who knows because ONCE YOU CROSS AN HBIC YOU NEVER COME BACK.

I guess all of that to say I don't get why everyone thinks Suliet took away from Juliet's characterization. I said it in another comment somewhere that I actually feel better now; I'm not the only one over the age of acceptable relationship angst age who lets their parent's divorce shadow my relationships in a little bit of doubt. Even strong women have doubts when they shouldn't. Thank you, Juliet for showing me that.

jesus ANYWAY, I've been a fan of Juliet ever since she waved that gun in Kate's face, lololol and I started shipping her with Sawyer around that time too. I think she's dead just because EM is taking over as HBIC on a new show, so...sorry OP D:

You're entitled to your opinion certainly, but I have to agree with your flist. Juliet's dead. She and Sawyer aren't walking off into the sunset together.

Frankly, Juliet used to be one of my favorite characters until her relationship with Sawyer painted her as a whiny insecure mop. Her kicking ass in the finale helped, but couldn't undo the damage, and frankly I'm terrified that they'll bring her back and make me hate her even more.

Really? Not the OP, but I didn't get whiny from her at all. And it made me feel better that I can be as old as I am and still be insecure in my relationships because of what my parents went through in their divorce :\

Sawyer/Kate shippers seem to have turned on Juliet in season five using words like whiny and weak to describe her. I wonder why?

It´s not even the relationship, I just want Juliet back so bad. She was my favourite female character ever on the show. I know she probably won´t return (even though at this point, you really can´t tell), but I´ll miss her horribly. She, Locke, and Ben where what kept me watching, really.

I'm pretty sure they'll kill her for the same emotional impact they wanted with Libby.

But yeah, I'm hoping she's alive, too. :(

I love these two together. I've given up trying to guess whether or not people are actually dead-dead on this show so I'll be delusional and hold out for a J/S happy ending as well.

It'd also mean that I wouldn't have to see any more of the Jack/Kate/Sawyer crap they keep shoving at us. Bleck.

To be honest i would rather have Juliet kick Ben's ass and demand he let her off the island, only for her to realize that he's just a pawn now and then she finds her own way off the island and finds Rachel and we get epic tearfilled scene where Juliet meets he nephew.

Somebody needs to explain to me WHY fandom seems to think she's dead, and not blown back into Season 1 like everybody else? She set off an atomic time bomb - either it worked and everyone on the island rewound, or it blew the fuck up and EVERYONE on the island died. Kate was no safer than Juliet from a blast like that, just because she was a few hundred feet above it. And if time was reset, Juliet's injuries wouldn't matter.

So. LOL, WUT?

ikr! It blows my mind (pun!) If Juliet is dead what does everyone think happened to the rest of the doomed quandrangle? If the bomb blew up and killed Juliet, s2s, it killed them all.

Juliet is the only good thing tptb @ Lost had going for them. Especially in the female character department. If she is dead-dead then they are idiots.

As for everyone who says the S/J relationship took away from her character, you are wrong. Why can't fandom let women be in happy, normal relationships without complaining? What did you really want her to do? Go back to the main land in the 1970s and explain to her 8 year old sister (or whatever age Rachel is) That she time traveled back to see her. As for doing something, she was waiting for Locke, what else could she have done? Do you want her to just sit and do nothing in Dharmaville? At the very least all that she went through on the island before should mean she is allowed a little bit of happiness.

I would love a Sawyer/Juliet reunion in S6 (if he ends up with Kate the writers have no idea what a healthy relationship looks like) but I would also love for her to get off craphole island and back to her sister. Some people can have it all you know.

Anon, you should join ontd_lost. The majority of us are in denial (or thinking positively, however you want to say it) about Juliet's fate.

Please, no. I hated what the Sawyer/Juliet relatioship did to both those characters, especially Juliet. What happened to Juliet vs Ben, Juliet getting back to Rachel, Juliet doing anything but moping because Sawyer was still into Kate?
