Huh. I just thought he was just a Famous Tumblr person. I didn't know he's a writer.

I just dislike him because he said the anime adaptation of one of my favorite games was better than the game. The game is flawed but the anime's writing is so, so much worse in every way. It's so quantifiably bad and lazy that the writers forgot a blind character was blind and had him complain about not being able to see during a scene where they were going through fog. Him saying it was better than the game made me unable to take anything else he says seriously.

NO, I FORGOT THEY DID THAT, LMAO

Sometimes I think I need to give The X a watch, thank you for reminding me why I haven't done so thus far. Oh Dezel.

The first season had amazing promise in the first half or so, and I still think some scenes are really good in isolation, but yeeeah by season 2 it had just gone completely off the rails.

Why would you want to?

OP

Simple answer: to participate in a game of Yes-And. First rule of Yes-And: it isn’t No-But. But in the pictured post and a lot of others, his response is “no, the writers wouldn’t write that.”

Less simple answer: to have an emotional reaction to fiction other than amusement. I’m not sure if he understands what suspension of disbelief is, but when he observes other people using it, he generally acts like they’ve fallen for a scam.

Oh, is that why he's """important"""? I've been wondering forever why this guy's unqualified opinions are all over my dash. I had to unfollow someone once because they started reblogging nothing but this his posts. Sometimes he posits some interesting scenarios but other times it's like why is this special. What did he do. Why should I care.
