Everything really, if I'm raiding with a random group and playing a male elf just call me he/him in Discord, I am nothing but a bunch of pixels to them. "But what are you reaaally" shouldn't matter at all, I'm not their friend

Huh. In all games I ever played, assumptions were always "unless otherwise specified, player gender=character gender" so I just never ran into what you described and nobody ever cared. Not saying it doesn't happen, I just never personally had that issue.

DA, but right? I've always had people refer to me by the gender of my character. It's never even occurred to me to do or expect otherwise.
