It's a flawed but basically really good website that is far better than any available competitor

Getting annoyed about either the real problems with OTW, or your petty personal grievances against people from LJ-era fandom, should not obscure that basic fact

This. I have no feelings about any of the old LJ crowd one way or the other, but I do have my share of issues with the real and very serious issues surrounding the OTW today... but the fact remains that AO3 is, at least right now, the best there is at what it does.

I really like AO3. The constant desire to have it do more and more is tiresome. Almost all of it is people who can’t scroll.

That's not the only criticism people have of OTW/AO3, though. There are other problems that have nothing to do with people who can't scroll. IE, problems with how they treat volunteers.
