Favorite parts of your writing process

What part of the writing process has you just feeling "I'm so glad I do this" ? what makes you truly enjoy the hobby and keep coming back to it.

For me it's outlining recently . I love planning ahead all the twists and turns as I cackle and rub my little gremlin hands together thinking of how I'm going to throw a spanner in the works or how to keep the readers hooked on the plot.

For me it's when I just finished writing something (first draft, after a huge editing phase, etc) and I read through and the scene plays out in a satisfactory way.

Uploaded a finished chapter of my latest fic last night. Bit of a relief, but also a bit anxious because now I have to unfuck a slight mess in the final chapter, haha. Trying to do that in between other obligations I signed up for.
