I was Frasier/Ray V for the longest time. Refused to watch the new series as I was annoyed they replaced Ray V. Then I finally relented and watched the Ray K eps and he became my new fave! Ray K is awesome and imo works better as a potential romantic interest for Benny (to the extent Paul Gross realised and def played it up). There's also the fact that *spoilers for at 30 year old tv series*... Benny ends up going on an adventure with Ray K while Ray V was paired up with Stella (I do understand why Ray V fans were annoyed with that ending though).
To me, Ray V works great as his absolute bff and Ray K works as his romantic/sexual partner.
