The "The Predator" (2018) had someone suggest that autism was future evolution because the autistic boy genius helped save the world by communicating with the aliens, I think? Sure, kid was screaming in a corner when a fire alarm went off in his school rendering him helpless, but autism is somehow going to be super beneficial to society? Ridiculous beyond belief.

It can depend on the balance of autistic traits, as the more sensory-related ones can be useful for detecting threats (especially those related to things like food safety and transport design) that may fly under the radar for many people. That said, being able to use autistic traits in a beneficial manner takes a good amount of training and (ironically) has to be a bit of a team effort.
