Same but I love short narrative games with no side quests (but not visual novels).

I thought there wasn't a way to make a game too long, and then I played AC: Odyssey. I love the game and I enjoyed it very much but man, by the time I got to the Atlantis DLC I was sick of it.

I don’t go here, but I’ve read that they always have ancient aliens stuff at the end of the AC games, and I’ve also read that only a minority of players finish the games. I have to wonder how many players even know about the ancient aliens stuff.

Oh, it's not just at the end. That's a plot line throughout all the games and is laced into both story lines.
