Gosh I hear that first one. In the years after I graduated I had to relearn that people could just be nice , or patient and understanding. That they probably weren't judging you (and if they were honestly who needs em).

One of the things that blew me away at community college was that I was like "everyone's so NICE to me" and it felt too good to be true.

But. The only thing I suppose I miss from school is the structure . The predictability.

I like structure too, and I like learning. But I picked a career where I can have those things without all the bad parts of school. And yes, I had to learn that people outside my family could be decent and could actually not hate me and weren't always thinking the absolute worst of me. And I'm honestly still learning not to hate myself and judge myself all the time.

Yeah I think it's a process for sure. I still kick myself when I have a cringy social moment but it's kind of a comfort to know it's not going to matter in a day or two.
