I think my question would be: do you know that this is their reason?

For all we know they could have just discovered your stuff and this is what they do when they find a writer they like. I understand your concerns but without knowing their motives for doing this I don't think there's any point in worrying, I'm sure they're fine and are just showing their appreciation. :)
