Hell one my favorite comments I got was just a string of emojis that I replied to with my own string of emojis and I was nothing but delighted with that, it was different and fun.

Yeah, I encounter that sort of thing a lot in my fandom that's for a JP-language canon with no official translation. Fans on Twitter like to leave each other emojis as responses to fanart because there's no language barrier with an emoji, a smiley face is a smiley face in any language and the meaning of it is very clear whether you speak Japanese or English.
