Re: Fandom rant - maybe minor Good Omens S2 spoilers?

I'm not really in the fandom, but I can't even be mad anymore. Gay exclusionists are pervasive and think everyone who isn't gay is straight. Making a character bi is homophobic because they could have been gay. Canonizing the asexuality of a character who's existed and been uninterested in any gender since before most people knew what asexuality was is homophobic, because a man with no interest in women was obviously meant to be gay coded because of course they just couldn't SHOW him being interested in men back then. They probably think that's what happened with Good Omens in fact, lmao

With Good Omens it's even worse, the writer/creator has said multiple times that the relationship between the characters was always meant to be romantic but not necessarily sexual, but there's a large portion of the fandom insisting they MUST have sex and it's homophobic if they don't. It's kind of ridiculous.
