Re: What are your controversial non-fandom opinions?

The names being easier isn't due to labels. It's due to how people were using just single letters to denote people. A loving B but B cheating on A with C while D was building an art room with E, who turns out was A's cousin who had once upon a time slept with B and... it gets confusing. In that case, names are easier to remember than single letters. But, yes, if they're a title like SIL or BIL, that's easier to remember. (DH is more confusing because it can mean dear husband or dick head and so people don't tend to like that one.)

I know it's been around a while, but I NEVER see 'DH' and think 'Dear Husband'. That kinda squicks me plus I think it's stupid. I just kind of blank on it and go 'wtf is that?' every single time.

AYRT. I always, without fail, read it as dickhead. It makes stories v. confusing sometimes lmao. It's just not as easily understood as SIL/BIL/MIL.

Single letters are awful. I can't understand shit when it happens
