I’m Australian and I always feel like it’s a non-issue here. Despite our ties with America at the time. But I always see someone on my fb go ‘oh it’s 9/11’ or someone pro-military make a post.

Like, we don’t even do our dates like that, my dude, why are you so invested?

Pretty much this. It's become this collective...*thing* where everybody feels the need to be all uber'Merican and whatever and it's just...gross. We act like we're the only country in the world that ever had a bad thing happen to us, and not only ignore the stuff going on with everyone else, but ignore all the heinous shite we do to our own people. Just gives me bad vibes.
