Re: not getting into the debate here but this reminded me of something

I have never seen a shirt like that in my life and had no idea they existed, but I haven't lived in an English-speaking country for a few years, so if they're a recent thing then maybe that's why. I would give you much more credit than you give yourself on the probability that they were meant as an anti-LGBTQ dogwhistle, but that a lot of people who end up wearing them probably have no idea of that and do just super want to show off to everyone that they're a good person (kind of like antis in fandom who call every ship they don't like pedophilia or incest) and some are probably actual pedophiles with self-hatred who are protesting too much.
