I figured Doyle was sulking about having to resurrect Holmes at all, given that he was so determined to kill off the character in the first place AND didn't bother to even give him a decent send-off. "The Final Problem" was such a half-assed, phoned in way to kill Holmes, it was clear ACD didn't give a shit and just wanted to get it over with.
