For a temporary fix without an add-on, in the Sort and Filter sidebar, you can either put the tag in the 'Other tags to exclude' box under the Exclude part or you can put a minus sign in front of whatever you want to exclude in the 'Search within results' under the More Options part (-'Curtain Fic', -Reader, -Author_Name), but that also excludes fic that has that in the summary, title, or author name.
