[Taskmaster, season 16]

It's okay to not like the dynamics of a particular lineup. I haven't seen this season yet but for me it was season 10. COVID restrictions obviously didn't help but except for Mawaan and Katherine sometimes, I didn't really enjoy the contestants.

I like this lineup a lot (Sam and Lucy are both VERY funny in a way that I love) but the series itself has only been so-so. First episode was smashing but E2 and E3 have been a little tame.

Me and my gf have watched every season and we agree with you, anon. They just don't have very good chemistry.

Can't really comment on this season because I haven't seen it yet, but this is valid, OP. Every season is a roll of the dice when it comes to choosing the right people and having them all work well together in a way that's fun to watch. It'd be weird if they never got it wrong. I know there have been seasons that were less memorable because of casting choices, and sometimes because the tasks seems a bit less inspired... which is also only natural as time goes on. But overall, it's a great format for a show and there's always the potential for next season to be better, so I just shrug and move on.

They're delightful. Your depression is getting worse. Get help, now.

If a condescending prick like you thinks they're delightful they probably suck.

The subreddit is culty as fuck, tbh. They downvote anything that isn't dick-sucking praise. And don't you dare say that TMNZ isn't the superior version or they'll fucking destroy you. But you're also not allowed to say that you like the show primarily for Greg and Alex either, because that's wrong somehow as well?

But yeah, the nature of this show and the rotating cast means sometimes it won't work. 6, 8, and 10 are the ones that most people seem to name as the ones that didn't hit the right buttons, but I've seen 15 creep up there as well. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. There are 15 other series, and this thing's been renewed for several more years to come at least. There will be more.
