It is overall a deeply moving film. I've read the book, seen it at least eight times, and I'll gladly read and see it again it again.

I used to be a geriatric nursing assistant and that shot always makes me burst into tears, because so many of my patients didn't get that sort of care and attention from even their family members. I know that some of them probably did do some terrible things in the past and I know that a lot of them were just abandoned and forgotten, but I've always had a soft spot for the more vulnerable of the elderly population, especially the ones who have dementia or Alzheimer's.
