The thing is, because I’m a bit of a day dreamer, I tend to take her songs and fit them to whatever story I’ve got going on at that moment…like, I’ll make up a little playlist and I’ll listen to it and stare out the window like I’ve got a whole ass movie musical going on in my mind whilst I’m on the train.

Having the song be universal is so much more important to me and how I interact with music than knowing every little aspect of the who, what and why of how the song came into existence.

I’m also soooooooo incredibly sick of the media/social media fuss around her relationships. Like, there’s about to be a war in the Middle East, but so many people are more focused about what condiments she eats at her boyfriend’s games. It’s so flippant and idiotic…

Ngl this is utterly disingenuous of you. There is always, always a crisis going on somewhere, and always, always people have their own dull day-to-day minutia that takes up more of their brain space. You can't shoulder the weight of every single crisis. Do you really think everyone should be walking around talking about nothing but international crises? You don't have anything you like to think about that's flippant and idiotic?

Point of curiosity, why did you go with "about to be a war in the Middle East" rather than "there's currently a war in Ukraine"?
