Re: What things do people spend huge amounts on money on that you find incomprehensible?

Cars: No way am I spending enough money for a down payment on a fucking HOUSE (or the WHOLE payment of a house if you're in the plains) when a Honda is right there.

Clothes/purses/shoes/accessories: Like, yes, spend extra for the quality, but I keep seeing the ugliest, cheapest looking pants for $800. Like... why???

Organic foods: They're not organic, it's a marketing trick. Also GMOs are great; GMO companies suck.

What country are you in that organic is a marketing gimmick? I’d be dead if not for certified organic food.

The US. In order to be certified organic here, it can contain up to 5% non-organic ingredients. For fully processed "organic" foodstuffs it can be up to 30%. For fresh fruits and veggies, the farmer can only have used approved pesticides on that specific item, but many of the farmers just wait for the correct windy day and spray their non-organic produce *right next to the "organic" stuff* with the regular pesticides and call it good. Organic is a scam.

This. "Organic" really is just a marketing gimmick.
