Agree with a lot of the other comments. Adding "luxury/expensive food or drinks". Like, hundreds of dollars for a bottle of Whisky. You drink it and then it's gone. Expensive appliances at least last for a decade or two.

They way I understand it, those spirits are collected more than consumed. And peppers sometimes buy them because they're considered valuable for trade in many potential apocalyptic scenarios.

Oh yeah, I know. I have a relative who is big into Whisky. I just still think it's a waste of money. Even MORE so if you don't actually plan on drinking it.

How is that any different from spending money on something like a vacation or a concert, though? You're paying money to get to experience and enjoy a thing that you know is just going to be temporary.
