I think the attraction is based more on personality. He’s good looking but drop dead gorgeous. But he’s a very witty guy who engages with fandom through the media in positive ways. And before Mandalorian made him a mega star, he was already famous enough to be recognized in public but not so famous he couldn’t go out and enjoy things like a normal person. So there were many years of Game of Thrones fans encountering him unexpectedly and him being lovely if they said hello. That reputation followed him and really helped once he was cast in two of Hollywood’s sexier roles in recent years.
