Same! Bly Manor and Midnight Mass were ruined by the monologues. They were so long.

Yep, I mainly got bored with them. Midnight Club I thought was just really depressing instead of creepy so I wasn't a fan of that either.

Oh god, the monologues in Midnight Mass. (I didn't finish Bly Manor.) You know that a creator has gotten to the point where they're too big for their britches when a looooooong talk about life and death and spirituality that goes on forever and ever is allowed and nobody wants to consider that it drags down the pace and detracts from the plot. Because obviously the writer's soapboxing is way more important.

Midnight Mass was just too preachy. Like, Flanagan, I don't care what your opinion of god is, can you please keep it to yourself? The taboo is there for a reason.
