...Do you have any examples of the former??? Because I'm unsure this is the actual situation, or if you're just not happy with the resolution because it's not what you felt needed to be resolved.

Okay I'm genuinely confused here because I've actually shifted to watching 95% anime/Asian media these days BECAUSE Asian stuff actually knows how to end stories and wrap things up whereas Western media will keep dragging a show out even when it should have ended two seasons ago.

It's a cultural thing. The ending of an anime/manga/dorama is in most times obvious to the Japanese viewer. An American needs a meaning of something hammered down as obviously as possible.
