Surprisingly I seem to be one of the few people in all of my fandoms that has a love for anything pregnancy and baby-related. Pregnancy kink, kidfic, you name it. I love that stuff but I only ever see people complaining about it being cringe or whatever.

I think there was a stage in fandom where pregnancy fic and and kid fic was all over the place and maybe it was difficult for people who don't like it but that stage is over by now as far as I can tell. I think kidfic is cute but I virtually never see it.

I agree with the previous reply, it used to be quite a bit more popular. I don't feel strongly either way (not my favorite, don't dislike it either) so I never really thought about the drop off in fics, I guess because it's not something I tend to seek out. I do see it come up sometimes as a story element in omegaverse fics, where part of the fic will focus on the characters starting a family but it's more often as background to the a/b/o theme when I've seen that.
