Cranky old person complaint.

I haven't had to buy stamps in ages and expected the U.S. postal rates to go up so that's not what this is about. I'm annoyed because hey, when did all the stamp designs get so ugly?

I'm probably getting the Ruth Bader Ginsberg and John Lewis ones, which are fine, but they don't have any pretty nature or art stamps. The waterfall ones are underwhelming. The Tomie de Paola ones are okay. Some years they have some really cool designs, but not this year, I guess.

I think the fox one is cute and the tulip blossoms, but yeah, on the whole.. esh

A lot of those photos of the stamps really aren't flattering at all... I have the Pinatas! ones and they're MUCH brighter and more colorful than they are in the photos there.

They don’t make the forever stamps as pretty as the regular ones. Priced stamps are more desirable to collectors plus it’s a way to get more revenue from people who want pretty stamps since they often have to buy additional postage to use them.
