I didn't think Shaw's issue was with Picard and his borgification but rather that he had a lot of unprocessed survivor's guilt that he was taking out unfairly on Seven and Picard. Still, I sure do hate later Star Treks having characters just... not go to therapy so that they can have precious interpersonal drama. It's not interesting, and it's especially annoying in a world where the worldbuilding has established that therapy is super effective and super plentiful. It just makes characters look like unsympathetic idiots for not making use of that resource...

Yup. Same with Sisko. Picard wasn't really his issue, it was just that seeing Picard brought up the trauma he hadn't really dealt with yet.
