the death threats? no, literally every outspoken/visible woman on the internet is getting that. that's a normal level for even non-controversial famous people. death threats are ubiquitous. the internet is that bad, as a rule.

showing up and swatting/doxxing is imo heightened and is also what is happening to the trans woman jkr quote tweets, and is also actively advocated against trans people in general by the people jkr shows support for, so again, the concern for her specifically is quite odd, considering the disparate levels of safety the various people involved can afford. like of the people who are literally getting killed for showing support for someone...it's not the people showing support for transphobes, it's the people showing support for trans people, and the people actively inciting that violence are the people jkr says they're happy to funnel money to.

someone saying something about "vitriol" against jkr in a conversation she is apparently fine with increase the vitriolic nature of towards people who criticize her and whom it is much easier to harm offline is not being thoughtful or empathetic or considering the ethics of harm like they think.

First, you said in your initial comment that the people she criticizes are not aiming any vitriol toward her, and that those saying she's on the receiving end never give specifics. Now, you've shifted your position to...yes, she receives vitriol, and it's from people she criticizes, but it doesn't count.

Second, let's have some receipts for her funneling money to people who incite violence. Let's also have some receipts for people literally being killed for merely supporting trans people.

have you yet?

it's from people she criticizes
nope, never said this. I'm just not denying she receive death threats. there's no reason to do so, it's a function of being visible on the internet, and is not a heightened function of her discourse. I do think doxxing is heightened, but there are those lack of specifics again.

Second, let's have some receipts for her funneling money to people who incite violence.

This woman very specifically was supportive of trans people.

Let's also have some receipts for people literally being killed for merely supporting trans people.
