It's weird because I can get why you feel like this, gywneth does that extremely naturalistic type of acting where it doesn't feel like she's being thoughtful or trying to distinguish her character from herself in any way, but pepper's background and general stressed "i have had to work to survive before all this" vibe is so far from gywneth that i've never had this problem.

Yeah, basically this! Character is so, so different from the actress.

Maybe it'd be different if I felt more strongly about her sins as a person though (I mean, not to say that she's a good person, just that there are worse people in Hollywood)

to me she's just the modern version of emma lmao, like that was her best role, but pepper doesn't feel anything like that to me yeah.
