Trailers for movies are not made for fans who care about spoilers, they are made for a very conservative (small c) general audience who have to be cajoled into going to the movie with a promise of something they already like and no unpleasant surprise. Fans are gonna go see it anyway, even if there were no trailers at all. For general audiences, the T2 trailer is still the gold standard.

The majority of audiences prefers trailers that have some spoilers. There is a reason they keep making them that way.
