Meanwhile, I hate how streamlined and neutral-toned so much modern sci-fi looks. Especially costumes, but sets and backgrounds, too. Give me grunge and glitter and jewel-tones, velvet and rhinestones and weird puppets, detailed maximalist-scaled miniatures. Down with beige!

There are a few newly built residential areas in my city. They're super clean and sterile, majority beige and completely artificial. They give me such strong dystopian vibes, it's unreal.
