Does one suppose there is a higher proportion of narcissists in fandom?

Let's say fandom rewards narcissistic behavior.

I don't think so. I think there might be a higher proportion of people with anxiety/depression/trauma combined with unideal life circumstances (ie people likely to be drawn to escapist media). And those people might be more likely to want to live out 'angsty' scenarios in safe settings like fanfic or RPs as coping mechanisms.

Though some people also just find 'angsty' scenarios as escapist in and of themselves, regardless of their mental health.
