I guess it depends. Did the person set out to be a BNF, or did it just sort of happen? Are they complaining about being a BNF in general, or about certain aspects of being a BNF? Does it seem like they're deliberately playing for sympathy, or are they just expressing genuine frustration?

I'm generally not a fan of the idea that, if someone is "big" or "famous" in some way, then they've got to be 100% happy with everything about it, and aren't allowed to dislike certain negative parts of it. That person hasn't ceased to be a human being.

Eh. It is easy to control how much being a BNF affects you on the internet. Hell, you can just nuke your account and make a new one.

TBF Being a BNF means they've made some friends and connections, and it could be hard to let that go.
Also, even if a BNF wanted to delete their account and start afresh, it might not always pan out. Their reputation/name/reputation may still follow/catch up to them (not always in a good way either).

And honestly, to say that a BNF can control how much online affects them is a really shallow take.

I'm sorry you're not a BNF with all the fans jerking off over your works and socials but to try to say BNFs aren't deserving of some grace or kindness is off-putting and immature.

But just because they dislike certain parts of their online presence doesn't mean there's nothing at all they like about it. There's no reason the only two options ought to be, "have no complaints" and "nuke it all from orbit."

I think someone needs to spend less time on socials.

That's possible. It's also possible OP is exposed to the type of BNF who makes a lot of complaints about a whole lot of nothing. It would certainly help if OP gave some examples of people complaining about being BNFs.

Well even if it ISN'T OP's desire to be a BNF they're still being very shortsighted and cold to someone else who doesn't 100% enjoy a position that more often than not they got landed with, or was determined by others.

The whole "cry more bitch" says that they have at least some resentment for these people daring to have a complaint or vent. It still makes them sound like a petty, toxic asshole.

Or they have a different sense of humor than you and you are taking this way too personally.

Sorry i just hate people deciding a certain person doesn't get to complain about their life or something in it without being mocked because "I have decided you have it good" .

Blame being told when I was seriously depressed and struggling with mental health "what do you have to be depressed about?" just from a glance at me.

Those people definitely suck, and it shows a lack of awareness and empathy. It's possible OP is the same way, though they're also leaving some vital info out.

Yeah I think we need more context for this one. I know that there's been BNF people who let the status get to their head and end up in the stupidest drama for it - but then there's also people who have been shoved into the spotlight for creating something that resounding with the community and got overwhelmed with the response.
