What is this? Cause, uh, I have a c-drama on my to-watch list and I want to make sure before I actually start it...

I'm not sure what cdrama this is, but I get it, OP. I don't look for much in the way of progressive feminist attitudes in cdramas. The closest I've personally seen is New Life Begins - nowhere near perfect, but I think they were trying. Generally speaking, I've been underwhelmed by the "strong" female characters in cdramas because it can contain some pretty cringe stuff, such as "female character who yells a lot and wields a weapon but rarely has an impressive fight scene despite having a reputation as being a powerful fighter".

I watched it and it's better than 90% other dramas. For anyone interested it's Oh My General. The fact that the title is not mentioned makes me think that the secret is genuine in which case I'm confused about lesbian overtones as there's none.

The guy also played in GO Princess Go which is a 10/10 tv series and you should watch that one.

I liked O My General (the last third is a snooze fest, as usual with cdramas) and the one with the fat fl because they break stereotypes a bit.
