Yup, that's exactly it.
And the judges would claim that they could do it just fine as they zoom past in a car with a surprised look on their face when finding out that most people do not run faster than a car.

All the contestants on the show are not professional bakers, the same way an average person who enters a race does not have the same experience as an expert runner.

That's exactly the point of GBBO though. All of the contestants have to be amateur bakers to participate. Just average folk, no professionals allowed.
