No idea what the age of consent is in Eorzea, but it's 16 in Japan so you could argue it's not underage, even during ARR.

It leans more towards older brother teasing younger siblings for me, but I can see how you could also perceive it as flirting.

Heavensward is great, and it only gets better as you go.

Tbh i found ARR very boring and a chore to get through so when I got to Heavensward I was really amazed by pretty much everything (good voice acting, nice landscapes, very handsome Elezens, an actual plot!). I dread finishing it and going back to the Scions. I wanna stay in Ishguard!

I did the Vault (you know, the dungeon when something really sad happens?) two weeks ago and I actually cried! That's when I decided I really enjoyed the game.

Right now I'm trying to go to Azis Lla (spelling?) and Alphinaud had to mention the Eye and its bearer as soon as possible. So I'm looking forward to seeing them interact some more, I guess. Still a bit uncomfortable shipping them though (16 is really young, regardless of the age of consent). I'm also a bit worried about Ser Aymeric dying because some friends from my free company told me that there was another death coming and I swear I will stop playing if they kill him.

16 is the age of majority in Sharlayan, and Alphinaud appears to be treated like an adult in Ishgard, so probably 16 there too.


Not sure where you got 16 from for Japan? The old urban legend about it being 13 is half true; Japan leaves the age of consent up to individual prefectures iirc and just mandates that it cannot be any lower than 13. In reality I believe most if not all prefectures picked 18? The age of majority used to be 20 until a few years ago but has dropped to 18 as well.

Were you thinking of America, anon. Because the age of consent is 16 in several American states.

Japan has raised the age of sexual consent from 13 to 16 years.
That said Lapan is the most underage sex normilised country after the poor Muslim ones.
