Hotel Artemis, of all things. LOT of fifteen year olds. I mean, bless 'em, fifteen year olds with great taste in actors, because that movie did have a great cast, but Jeff Goldblum and Jodie Foster have had careers longer than I've been alive, and I'm an actual adult. I didn't expect everyone excited for the movie to be so YOUNG.

All of them really. Realizing that The Phantom Menace is more than 20 years old, Same with the LOTR trilogy. New Who is almost 20 years old. Makes me feel old.

JJK when I recently went looking for fic for my ship. Hooo boooy that's a lot of teenagers. But then, of course it is, it's a shounen jump property. They're the target demographic. Have fun, kids.

Watched a video essay the other day on the history of Strawberry Shortcake. The creator, who said he was almost 30, admitted a bias towards Gen 3 (the one from the early 2000s where all the characters wear really casual clothes) as it was the one from his childhood, and practically all the comments said the same. As someone who grew up with Gen 1 and remembers all the complaints about 3's changes when it was new, it was very surreal to see people -- adults -- who love it for it being "their" version.

Is Gen 3 the one where they all wear pants? 'Cause I loved the hell out of that one, but I must admit that all the Strawberry Shortcake merch I have is from Gen 1. It's just cuter.

Oh god yes, constantly. "Poll: Which of these movies gave you the most childhood trauma" and it's none of them because I wasn't a child when the oldest movie in the poll came out.

Reading fanfic set in the 1980s-90s and characters are portrayed using iPhones and Google, and using terminology related to mental health & sexuality that either didn't exist at the time, or definitely were not in widespread use for the characters to know them.

A lot of video game ones, just based on takes and likes alone. Not saying fans aren't entitled to such things but it just makes me think I might've had similar takes/likes at such a young age. And then I'm reminded of how much older I am, lol. (And this is why I keep my interactions to things like fanfic.)

I am visiting my sister and BIL again. We are going to dye my undercut and work on various crafts. Also going to watch some movies.

Cleaning out my car and making sure everything is working properly before next week's thanksgiving drive. Mom is driving, but we're taking my car, I just want to make sure everything is okay. It is at least a 5 hour drive.

Getting a massage tomorrow morning. Continuing my Buffy rewatch. Sleep.

I’m working on the stuff I need for Thanksgiving travel. I’m driving and have to take my own food for all four days (extreme food allergies). I’m also embroidering a tote bag for the aunt that’s hosting and need to alter my new dress. I may do some other embroidery just for fun. And I have to clean my car and set it up for having people in it instead of pets (dad and his girlfriend are flying so I get to be their chauffeur to save them $1700 on a rental, which I’m perfectly happy to do! Just…there is dog hair EVERYWHERE. I’ve never vacuumed it in almost three years of owning it.)

Work work wooooooork. Its that Thanksgiving rush and I'm often slated for the weekends. On top of it all my dad says that for whatever reason I have to get up on weekday hours (early as heck) on a weekend day . Which blows.

But meh it's not all bad. I got one cool thing with my paycheck (no details but it has to do with writing) and I'm having the time of my life with it. And I've reached the really fun part in my Nano project.

So I'll have that. And after the weekend +monday, my sister will be home from college for Thanksgiving break. And my partner said they'll be off that week.

Just gotta get thru this weekend. Ay yi yi.

This is a three day weekend for me but I ended up spending most of the day dozing. I was on day two of no psych drugs (and mine is one that has a notoriously short half-life) so I was struggling. ;o; I feel much better now and am planning to spend the weekend painting Warhammer minis and trying to drawn porn (I've recently drawn two smutty pieces recently and I'm really proud and I'd like to continue!). And potentially watching some of the Warhammer livestream that's going on this weekend.
